The final game of the 52nd Judan title match (five-match series) was held at the Nihon Ki-in on 21 April 2014. Taking black, Takao Shinji 9p defeated the defending champion Yuki Satoshi by resignation after 167 moves. Takao Shinji 9p won Judan title for the first time in six years by 3-2.

Game 3 (10 Apr) Yuki (B) by 10.5 points
Game 4 (17 Apr): Takao (B) wins by resignation

Hsieh Yi Min wins her seventh consecutive Women’s Meijin title.
The third game of the 26th Women’s Meijin title (best of three games) was played at the Nihon Ki-in on 24th March 2014. Taking black, Hsieh defeated Kato Keiko 6-dan pro by resignation after 209 moves.
