Kono Rin to Challenge for Gosei Title!

  The playoff match to decide the challenger for the 38th Gosei title was held between Kono Rin 9p and Matsumoto Takehisa 7p on 3 June 2013 at The Nihon Ki-in. Kono 9p (B) defeated Matsumoto 7p by 1.5 points after 222 moves. Kono has made his first challenge to Gosei title match. The first game of Gosei title (best of five games) will be held on 6 July 2013 in Kanazawa.

Masters Cup: Kobayashi Satoru or Ishii Kunio?

  The Semifinal of the third edition of the Igo Masters cup was played on 22 June in Hiroshima. At the semifinal, Kobayashi Satoru 9p (W) beat O Meien 9p by resignation and Ishii Kunio 9p (W) beat Yamashiro Hiroshi 9p by 3.5 points. They will play for the final of the Masters cup for their first time. The final game of the 3rd Masters cup will be held on 13 July 2013 at the Nihon Ki-in.

Yurakucho Go Centre Now Opens!

  A new go centre of the Nihon Ki-in just opened from 17 June 2013 in Yurakucho.
  The Yurakucho go centre is located in 9th Floor of Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan in Yurakucho.

・Opening Times : 10:00-21:00 (Monday to Saturday)
